My name is Anthony, and I’m a Canadian living on the Isle of Bute. With over 20 years of expertise in quality control and tech support for leading software companies, as well as my friends and family, I understand the challenges we all face with technology.
After witnessing my neighbours’ frustration with their devices, from struggling to set up their smartphones to not understanding how to fix their computers, it became clear that many feel overwhelmed by technology, are uncertain about where to turn for support, or cannot afford professional help.
By sharing my skills locally through a pay-what-you-can model, I aim to improve local access to support when technology meant to improve our lives becomes a hindrance, and to reduce barriers to understanding the technology we rely on every day.

As a resident of Bute, I experience firsthand life getting more expensive each day. My suggested rate is £20 per hour, but whatever you can afford is welcome, even if it’s just a cup of coffee.

I live in Port Bannatyne and mostly travel by bicycle or bus. Whether you’re at home, at a business, or on a job site, I can come to you. Of course, you can come to me if that’s easier.

You need someone who can help when it is convenient for you, but also trust they’ll show up when they say they will. I commit to responding to you within 24 hours and giving you certainty about when I can help.

The technology field is too vast and fast-changing, even for someone with my extensive background. I won’t always have the answer, but I will always make an honest effort to help you find the answer.

Pricing
Access to technology and its opportunities should be available to anyone, regardless of socioeconomic status. I pride myself on giving you the best service possible and have set my rates fairly given my skills, experience, and the economic conditions we live with on the Isle of Bute.
Pay what you can, even if that’s just warm company over a hot cup of tea.
My suggested price is £20 for 1 hour of support but I don’t think it’s fair to bill unless I’m clear about what you need and how I can help.
Your initial consultation is always free and I only bill once you’re satisfied.
Service Agreement
By accepting my help you agree to the following terms of service:
- Confidentiality: I may be required to access or witness personal information on your devices, software, or websites while providing a service to you. I commit to not retaining this information, nor will I share your information with third parties except as UK law requires.
- Quality of Service: I will always provide the best service possible and try to resolve any issues you are experiencing with your technology. Unfortunately, I cannot guarantee your technology will run 100% problem-free after I have serviced it. If you are still having issues or are otherwise not satisfied with the service I have provided, let me know, and I’ll try my best to provide a solution.
- Liability: Accidents happen, and technology can be unpredictable at the best of times. I assume zero liability for the loss or corruption of data or the damage to a device in my custody. However, I will make every effort to handle your technology and data with the utmost care and assist with recovery and repair in case of loss or damage caused by my services.
